"I have worked with hundreds of families, attended over 500 births, and not once have I said to myself, "I don't think my client made the right decision." Birth can be scary, and hard to predict. I empathize with my clients and facilitate conversations with their providers, so they can make the best decisions for themselves and their baby.

I offer realistic options for navigating pregnancy, birth and postpartum to help families take uniform medical advice and turn it into their own personalized experience.

Sara specializes in helping families feel heard and seen during their birth and postpartum journey. You may feel drawn to social media or family and friends for validation and advice, and are often met with judgement and misinformation. Rather than feeling confused or judged, Sara will be a sounding board for your concerns, and help to cultivate your instincts.

The key to doula support is offering information that is based in evidence and research. You want solid facts, not opinions. Sara feels strongly about providing resources to help her clients learn about their options so they can better collaborate with their medical providers during their birth experience.

Sara is passionate about connecting with her clients in a way that makes you feel like long lost friends. Let's be real! Birth is intimate and a time when you will feel the most vulnerable. She really understands the delicate nature of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It is so important to find a doula you just click with. If she is not the best match for you, she is always happy to refer you to another doula she knows and trusts.

Ivory Nest was founded on the idea that families crave continuity in care. Sara believes doula support should be focused, unwavering, and personalized. At Ivory Nest you won't find call schedules or shift rotations. The doula you hire is the doula who dedicates herself to being your childbirth educator, your birth doula, and your postpartum doula.
