We are here for you. Your doula can be reached via phone, text, or email at anytime day or night! Even before you go into labor, things might come up that don't necessitate a call to your provider but are still concerning. Rest easy knowing you have a trained professional to call with questions, concerns, or even updates.

So we are revolutionizing Doula support by making it exclusive to each client during their due date timeframe, and we are giving you everything you need to feel prepared for a new human. We have experience, personality, flexibility, and we include all the things you look for in our only doula support package. Our doula package includes a hybrid birth class, prenatal planning sessions, prenatal resources, guides for partners, in-person labor support with no maximum hours, and so much more!
Postpartum support? We have that too!
It can be nerve wracking to find someone you trust who can not only care for your baby, but care for you! We pride ourselves on offering support that is unbiased and comes from a place of passion. Whether you plan to breastfeed, bottle feed, co-sleep, sleep train, or just go with the flow, we can help you feel confident doing what feels right for your family.

When do we meet before labor?
30 weeks
WE SCHEDULE A PRIVATE BIRTH CLASS MADE UP OF TWO 4 HOUR SESSIONS. AT 30 WEEKS WE MEET FOR A VIRTUAL BIRTH CLASS SESSION.
33 weeks
WE MEET IN-PERSON FOR THE SECOND BIRTH CLASS SESSION. WE WILL GO OVER COMFORT MEASURES, BREASTFEEDING, AND NEWBORN CARE.
36 weeks
WE WILL MEET FOR OUR PRENATAL PLANNING SESSION TO GO OVER BIRTH PREFERENCES AND A GAME PLAN.
This schedule is fluid and personalized for each client.
How does labor support unfold?
Early Labor
DURING EARLY LABOR YOUR DOULA WILL CHECK IN EVERY COUPLE HOURS OR AS NEEDED. YOU WILL RECEIVE PERSONALIZED SUGGESTIONS BASED ON HOW YOUR LABOR IS UNFOLDING.
Active Labor
WHEN YOU ARE 6CM DILATED, OR IN AN ACTIVE LABOR PATTERN, OR YOU JUST NEED IN-PERSON SUPPORT, YOUR DOULA WILL JOIN YOU AT HOME OR IN THE HOSPITAL.
Birth & Postpartum
YOUR DOULA WILL HELP GUIDE YOU THROUGH THE PUSHING PHASE, TAKE PICTURES OF YOU MEETING BABY, AND ASSIST WITH THE FIRST BREASTFEED. 1-2 HOUR AFTER BIRTH SHE WILL LEAVE YOU TO BOND AS A FAMILY.
If there are unexpected circumstances she may stay longer.

24/7 On-Call Support &
2 prenatal meetings
Your Doula is on call for you at all times. If you have concerns or questions you can text, call, or email anytime from the time you retain support. We will plan to meet in-person for our prenatal meeting around 36 weeks, and again virtually at 40 weeks. Your investment also includes a private childbirth education class made up of two additional meetings.

Unwavering Labor Support:
No Maximum Hours or Hourly Fees
Early labor can be tough to navigate, especially if you have never experienced contractions before. You don't want to go into the hospital too early and possibly get sent home. But the idea of laboring at home for 24 hours with mild contractions can be intimidating. We are here for guidance through early labor, and when things get intense we can meet you at home or at the hospital for in-person support. There is no maximum amount of hours we can spend with you, nor do we charge an hourly fee for support after a certain number of hours.

Private Hybrid Childbirth Class
8 Hours Total Instruction Time
It can be hard to find a class that fits your needs. So we designed our support to include a childbirth class for all birth preferences. The best part? Planning the class is based on your schedule! You can even host a childbirth class party with friends and family. The class includes pain management tools and techniques, hospital protocols, natural comfort measures, labor progression and patterns, newborn care, breast and bottle feeding techniques, vaginal and c-section recovery, and so much more!

32 Hours of Postpartum Support
Day or Night
Reserving postpartum support is sometimes a tough call to make ahead of baby's arrival. So if you need us, we are here to offer up to 32 hours of day or night support. When your doula comes to visit you postpartum, you will decide on a plan for allocating postpartum support. Nighttime support is primarily sleep focused, so your family can get well-rested and refreshed knowing baby will get all the care they need (and snuggles!). Daytime support is often helpful to focus on breastfeeding, introducing a bottle, using the breast pump, or just getting you a nap!
How does the investment in our support compare to others?
At Ivory Nest you are investing in your doula's time and energy to ensure she is the individual who will provide services to you. Simply put, the price point is meant to reflect the amount of her time and energy you are reserving. In order to provide continuity for you throughout the pregnancy, you need to retain services ahead of time so your doula can block off this time on her calendar.
